Well, it's finally here! The first and only 3 1/2" gauge 'Hogwarts Castle' (GWR Hall by any other name), but liveried, named and numbered for 'Olton Hall's' alter ego, Hogwarts! So this, ladies and gentlemen is the red Hall you've all been waiting for! 😉
The model is made to LBSC's Lickham Hall, (later 'Liford Hall') drawings, and a nice model it is too. There is an injector, an axle pump with footplate fitted bypass valve and a hand pump in the tender. Lubrication is mechanical and the general wear and tear on the model is minimal. In fact it runs really nicely.
The boiler is copper, silver soldered as usual, and neatly done. Still in recent ticket from the previous owner with almost the full 4 years and full year's steam left to go. Photographs to go live shortly, (as soon as the paint dries....) but for now, if you are interested in this one off do get on the phone and let us know.
